A unique code provided to applicants by the respective agency. This code serves a dual purpose: it indicates the reason for your background check and instructs the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation or Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) on where to send your results.

Obtain the ORI number directly from the agency requesting your background check.

The TCN, or Transaction Control Number, is a unique identifier that allows you or your agency to track the status of your fingerprint submission within the Illinois or Florida system.

To check the status using your TCN for Illinois, click here or visit IDFPR TCN Lookup.

To check the status using your TCN for Florida, visit FDLE TCN Lookup.
